With the support of an exceptional team, Nora Lighting has been operating a normal business schedule during this difficult time and shipping products to distributors across the country. As a manufacturer of lighting products, Nora has been designated an essential business.
Nora’s main California distribution center, as well as distribution centers across the country, have instituted Covid-19 safety guidelines to keep all team members safe while continuing to ship nationwide.
The Nora sales and customer service staff has been available by email or phone (800.686.6672) while working both at home and at the company’s Commerce, CA, headquarters. The warehouse has instituted new sanitation standards that include daily disinfection of all work areas, break rooms and desks, and hand sanitizers and cleaning supplies for all employees.
Production lines were modified to also allow for the six-foot distancing recommendations and Nora provided facial masks for all employees to wear. A Nora engineer designed and 3-D printed relief straps to hold employee’s masks in place for additional protection.
“While this may be the new normal for awhile, we are very fortunate to be able to maintain our business relationships and supply our customers with the products they need. We appreciate their support and loyalty,” said Nora Lighting President and CEO Fred Farzan.
“Everyone at Nora is also profoundly grateful to the healthcare and frontline workers who are keeping us healthy and safe in these very challenging times,” he said.
