The National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA) today announced that five manufacturing companies and one associate member have joined the association. The additions arrive as the electroindustry experiences enormous growth driven by accelerating investment in computing infrastructure, grid modernization, and commercial and residential electrification.
With global investment in AI infrastructure now measured in the trillions of dollars, demand is surging for the advanced electrical components, cooling technologies, energy storage, and grid-interactive technologies. NEMA’s newest members –The H-J Family of Companies, Infinitum, North America Traffic, SPAN, Stäubli Corporation, and The Sherwin-Williams Company – are meeting that demand with solutions engineered for performance, resilience and safety.

NEMA’s new manufacturing members are:
The H-J Family of Companies: A global manufacturer and supplier of engineered components and solutions for the heavy electrical industry, with primary focus on transformer, switchgear, and power distribution applications. Founded in 1969 and headquartered near St. Louis, Missouri, The H-J Family of Companies manufactures insulating components, bushings, connectors, and non-ferrous castings used across transformers, breakers, and grid equipment.

North America Traffic (NAT): A manufacturer of portable traffic and pedestrian signals, Automated Flagger Assistance Devices (AFADs), and related electrical and mechanical systems for temporary work-zone traffic control. Operating an ISO 9001:2015 certified facility, NAT’s products have been used on over 3,000 projects across North America.
SPAN: A manufacturer of smart electric panels and grid-edge hardware and software solutions designed to replace traditional residential electrical breaker boxes. Founded in 2018, SPAN enables whole-home electrification — including rooftop solar, backup battery, heat pump HVAC, induction cooking, and EV charging — without requiring service upgrades or additional distribution system investments.
Stäubli Corporation: A global industrial and mechatronic solution provider founded in 1892, Stäubli brings North American operations spanning electrical connectors, fluid connectors, robotics, and textiles. With facilities in Duncan, South Carolina (U.S. headquarters) and Windsor, California, Stäubli manufactures precision electrical connectors and advanced industrial solutions across multiple sectors including industrial core, grid, and mobility markets.
