NEMA Publishes Roadway And Area Lighting Equipment Standard |

The National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA) has published ANSI C136.11Roadway and Area Lighting Equipment—Multiple Parallel Wired Sockets. ANSI C136.11-2011 discusses medium and mogul screw base sockets used in multiple fixture circuits or in luminaires designed and intended for parallel wired circuits. These are used in lighting roadways and other areas open to general use by the public. The 2011 edition provides interchangeability of lamps, minimum safety standards for operating personnel, and minimum performance criteria. Additionally, the scope and referenced documents have been updated and clarified.
