Confidence In Electroindustry Business Expands As Third Quarter Closes
October 2, 2017
The National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA) released its September Electroindustry Business Confidence Index (EBCI) today. For a second consecutive month, the index reflected an improvement in the current conditions measures with an overall increase of three points, from 65.6 to 68.8.
The future conditions index increased from 62.5 to 75 with a few survey participants expecting an increase in new purchases related to reconstruction in areas damaged by recent storms.
The EBCI indexes are based on the results of a monthly survey of senior managers at NEMA Member companies. They are designed to evaluate the business environment of the electroindustry in the United States and Canada.
