Location: Danvers, MA

This position is designed to build OSRAM SYLVANIA's (OSI) presence in the lighting market by providing technical training to customers (engineers, specifiers, interior designers, architects, distributors, end users). Design, develop and provide technical training and tools to OSI personnel to increase sales and awareness of new products. Provide product application support to create demand for new and existing OSRAM SYLVANIA products. Provide technical assistance to sales representatives, customer service, and end users as required.

Responsibilities include the following:
- Design and facilitate lighting course curricula for both live and web based courses, workshops and seminars as directed.
- Assist in ensuring that LIGHTPOINT is kept up-to-date with regard to training aids, displays and equipment.
- Provide technical product and application information to both internal and external customers.
- Maintain a close working relationship with Product Management and inter-divisional counterparts for information exchange and training on new product developments and applications.

Position Requirements

Demonstrated ability to design, promote, organize and facilitate lighting and other development related courses and presentations in a training facility and through other delivery vehicles. Ability to convey technically involved lighting concepts in a manner which facilitates the students to understand and relate to their applications.

Must be able to present materials in a clear, concise manner and have demonstrated technical training and public speaking ability. Considerable travel (20% per year) throughout North America and the world. Flexible working hours are required throughout the year as customer needs dictate.

Basic qualifications:
Bachelor's degree with minimum 5 yrs experience required (Electrical Engineering, Architecture, Physics, or related discipline very strongly preferred)

Previous lighting / electrical /energy / utility industry experience very strongly preferred. Solid State Lighting experience and industrial commercial knowledge strongly preferred.

Lighting Certified - L.C. designation strongly preferred, or must be qualified for and complete LC certification within first year of employment.

Must have demonstrated ability to design, promote and facilitate lighting and other development related courses in a training environment.
