As and engineering technician you will work in fast paced and rapidly growing field of solid state (LED) lighting.

Technician duties will include: Performing wide range of duties in fabrication, prototype assembly and build, testing, debugging and documentation of simple assemblies, modules and systems associated with prototype solid state lighting and power supply products. Works from written/verbal instructions, specs, technical manuals and engineering sketches. Uses a variety of hand tools, test equipment, repairs test equipment and components. Works closely with engineers and other technicians. Able to work from a BOM and assembly drawing to order, organize and assemble small SMD components is required. Good soldering skills for surface mount and through components required. Good electro-mechanical skills required. Ability to use Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) is required.

Requirements: Test experience related to EMI, Line disturbance, ESD, thermal testing and UL testing is a plus. Lighting or LED experience is preferred. Machine shop skills is a plus.

A.S. degree in related field plus 2 yrs related experience OR ten years of direct experience is required

There is no relocation associated with this position. Local candidates are preferred.
