Border States, a growing leader in the electrical supply distribution industry with locations in 13 states and Mexico, is seeking a Lighting Specialist to provide lighting related technical support on products such as lamp, ballast, fixture, and lighting controls, designing lighting layouts, performing lighting presentations, and providing sales training and / or support. Technical or Engineering 4 year degree or work experience. Technical knowledge of electrical systems preferred. Minimum of three years of commercial lighting sales experience and lighting design/build experience preferred. Demonstrated technical competence in understanding electrical lighting and power systems preferred. Expertise in the use of lighting design and energy auditing software is preferred. Prefer credentials in lighting such as Lighting Certified (LC) or Certified Lighting Efficiency Professional (CLEP).
